Over the years, tournament king mackerel fishermen begin to realize that no matter how hard they try, some days are good, and some are bad. It’s a waiting game and all you can do is hope that patience pays off. On Saturday, Oct. 1,  it paid off for my wife, Kelly, and I, as well as the rest of team OIFC: Brant, Amy, Brayden, Caroline and Barrett McMullan.

    By Thomas Ryan Paul
