  • Summer fishing is finally here

It’s safe to say that summer fishing is finally here. The change from cool temperate nights to warm, muggy temperatures all day and night has officially happened and with it came the turn to summer fishing. And as usual, every year this transition from spring to summer fishing brings good action along the beachfront near shore and offshore ranges.

  • Exploring every inch of Lockwood...

I am so bad at golf. This is not some half-hearted attempt at self-deprecating humor. I’m horrible. I’m a terrible golfer and I’ve come to accept it.

Nevertheless, last week I was invited to play 18 holes with the head pro at Lockwood Folly Country Club, Eric Morgan, and two of the club’s members, Don Brewer and Paul Boileau. Don is actually the president of the country club and Paul serves as the vice president of the community’s Property Owners Association.

  • Trojan round baller to continue...

SHALLOTTE – When former West Brunswick combo guard Kaitlyn Bellamy finished her high school basketball career earlier this year, she had no idea she’d have the opportunity to continue her career at the collegiate level.

Several weeks and countless trips to Brunswick Community College’s campus later, Bellamy has seen her wish come true as she has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at the Supply junior college during the 2017-18 season.
