Three Brunswick Community College students will compete in Sketches for Scholarships, sponsored by Monster, Coca-Cola and Pepsi, from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Feb. 24, at Middle River Convenience Store at U.S. 17 North and Old Ocean Highway in Bolivia.

Michelle Cathey, and Danielle Pittman, both seeking an associate degree in science, and Kathryn A. Hewett, seeking an associate degree in nursing, will draw a St. Patrick’s Day theme promoting a sponsor’s product. The winner will be selected that day based on public votes.

Prizes vary from 15 credit hours ($1,190) to four credit hours ($333.50) funded by the sponsors.

“This year is the third annual Sketches for Scholarships. Every year the artists have displayed talent and creativity which has made the competition fun and exciting,” Hannah Holt, director of operations of Holt Oil, said in a news release.
