Consultants propose $1.1M plan for Ocean Isle Beach Town Park

OCEAN ISLE BEACH — Ocean Isle Beach’s consultants from McGill Associates proposed a $1.1 million town park project at a Master Plan meeting Monday night.

Town commissioners hired McGill Associates to create a Town Park Master Plan for the 1.7 acres of open space at Gatha Drive and East Second Street beside the Museum of Coastal Carolina.

Mike Norris, McGill Associates land planning and recreation director, and Michael Norton, Shallotte office director, met with town residents Feb. 5 to talk about parks and recreation wants and needs.
