Feasibility study is next step

By Staff Brunswick Beacon

Brunswick County has received a $75,000 grant from the N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ Recreational Trail Program to create a series of equestrian trails, one of the first steps toward implementation of the planned Coastal Events Center.

The county has two years to renovate 5.6 miles of existing trails, construct a new 1-mile trail and install trail signs at the site of the future events center, planned for 150 acres belonging to the county on N.C. 211.
