The driver of an SUV that collided with a school bus last week remains in serious condition.

The bus was taking students home from South Brunswick middle and high schools before the crash took place about 4 p.m. May 19 on N.C. 211 near Middleton Boulevard, between Boiling Spring Lakes and Oak Island.

The bus collided with a blue Subaru SUV driven by Arthur Seifert, 70, of Oak Island.

Seifert was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington where he was listed in serious condition, hospital spokeswoman Erin Balzotti said.
