At their regular meeting April 16, Holden Beach commissioners approved a bid for completion of roadwork in town.

Holden Beach Public Works Director said Right Angle Engineering, on behalf of the town, recently solicited bids for roadway work, which includes street paving for Sand Piper, Sand Spur and Sand Dune on the island. Clemmons said bids were due to the engineer by April 12, and told commissioners the lowest bid came from Highland Paving, with a bid of $92,050. The street work is scheduled for this year, and weather permitting will take place before Memorial Day.
