It’s flounder time

-A A +A
By Capt. Jacob Frick

The weather settled down a bit this week, allowing for water conditions to be more conducive for catching instead of just fishing. Don’t get me wrong, we have worked hard to find fish on a few days, but the bite was much easier on most days. Calm winds over the weekend brought on a great flounder bite early in the week. Strong winds started to blow again Wednesday, July 15, stirring the waters and slowing the flounder bite again. However, a solid bite returned late afternoons Thursday, July 16, and Friday, July 17, as the water was a clean, green color.
