Learn.Shop.LOCAL Business Expo set for March 4

The inaugural Live.Learn.Shop.LOCAL Business Expo, presented by the Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce, will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at 925 Seaside Road SW, at the corner of N.C. 94 and Old Georgetown Road, in Ocean Isle Beach.

The free event will feature 70 vendors, goody bags for the first 150 people (one per family) and the option to register for a door prize. Some vendors also will have giveaways, raffles or other prizes.

Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Animal Protective Services will bring pets available for adoption from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Children’s activities include a Home Depot Kids Workshop and the chance to meet local public safety personnel, climb on trucks, escape from a simulated fire, meet Smokey the Bear or try the kid-sized version of the Firefighters Agility Course.

Food vendors include The Seafood Hut of NC Food Truck, Sunset Slush Classic Italian Ice and Pelican’s Perch Bar & Grill.

The chamber also will have a short survey available online afterward. Attendees who complete it will have a chance to win a prize.

The event is sponsored by Brunswick Electric Membership Corp. ATMC, McLeod Health and Lowes Foods.
