Superior Court Judge Ola Lewis has announced her plans to run for the N.C. Supreme Court in 2014.

Lewis currently serves as Senior Resident Superior Court Judge in District 13 representing Brunswick County. She has been a Superior Court judge in the 13th judicial district since 2000.

While her term does not expire until 2018, Lewis says she feels a run for the N.C. Supreme Court should be the next step for her.

“I give my heart to my job, and I love my job, but I just feel that this is the natural progression,” she said.
