One killed in single-car wreck

A Raleigh man was killed in a single-car wreck Saturday night in Supply.

According to Sgt. T.T. Daniels of the N.C. Highway Patrol, Silvestre Rogel Vazquez, 52, died after being ejected from the vehicle after it wrecked on Mount Pisgah Road near Cedar Grove Road. The wreck happened about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30.

Daniels said Vazquez’s son, Silvestre Rogel Gandarilla, 24, of Raleigh, was driving the vehicle north when he overcorrected and ran off the right side of the road. The vehicle overturned twice and struck a cable box.
