Christmas cantata set for Dec. 16
The combined Chancel and Morning Glory choirs of Trinity United Methodist Church, 209 E. Nash Street in Southport, invite all to their Christmas cantata at the 8 a.m. or 11 a.m. worship service in the sanctuary on Sunday, Dec. 16. Directed by Diane Kulp, the choirs will present Joseph Martin’s “Journey of Promises” with dramatic readings.
“Away From the Manger,” based on scripture from Luke 2:1-14, will be the title of the Rev. Jeff Roberts’ and associate pastor Michelle Sabin’s sermons at the 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. services in Murrow Hall.
Nursery care is available at both services. There is childcare at all services and Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m. and
11 a.m.

Hanukkah Happening set for Dec. 15
Temple Shalom’s Hanukkah Happening will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Grand Strand Senior Center, 21st. Ave. North in Myrtle Beach, S.C. There will be latkes (potato pancakes), other good food and beverages, games, songs, door prizes, music and Hanukkah candle lighting. Admission is $8 for members and $12 for non-members.
