After a slight hiccup in plans, the Brunswick County Board of Education has hired a Georgia company to complete artificial turf projects at West, South and North Brunswick high schools, which was unanimously approved by the board in February.

The board awarded AstroTurf, a company based out of Dalton, Ga., the contract for the field design and complete field installation, including all labor, materials and training for split-bend artificial turf with a shock pad and rubber infill for a total cost of more than $2.9 million.
