Summer concert: Chocolate Chip & Company heats up Thursday night in Leland

It’s free summer concert and movies time again in Brunswick County.

Chocolate Chip & Company dance band of Myrtle Beach, S.C., is slated for a show at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at Leland Municipal Park at 102 Town Hall Drive in Leland.

Poor Piggy’s BBQ Food Truck will be on hand with food available for sale.

Another upcoming concert is Carolina Line Bluegrass Band from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 18, in Franklin Square Park in Southport.

On May 19, the movie “Coco” will be shown at sunset in Leland Town Park. 

The town of Carolina Shores will have its first spring concert from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, on the town hall lawn at 200 Persimmon Road (rain date May 25).

Other concerts in coming weeks include Too Much Sylvia at 7 p.m. May 24 in Shallotte’s Mulberry Park, The Tams at 6:30 p.m. May 25 in Ocean Isle Beach, Chance Union Band 6 to 8 p.m. May 25 in Southport, McGuire 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. May 25 in Middleton Park Soccer Field on SE 46thSt. in Oak Island, Steve Owens & Summertime on May 27 in Holden Beach, Parrot Party on May 30 in The Village at Sunset Beach and The Embers on June 5 in Calabash Community Park.
