Sunset Beach police report

A Sunset Beach man was arrested on April Fool’s Day for assault with a deadly weapon and assault on a public official.

Josman Robert Blythe, 33, of 536 Medcalf Drive, was also charged April 1 with communicating threats, driving while license revoked and DWI.

On April 7, Kevin Benjamin Coleman, 56, of 946 Elderberry Lane, was charged with four counts of simple worthless checks and one count of felony worthless checks.

On April 4, Sunset Beach police investigated a reported larceny of a propane tank at Hair Du, 1790 Queen Anne St. in Sunset Beach.
