Scorpions drop to 0-2 after loss at Socastee (S.C.)

After dropping its season-opening game 41-7 against Whiteville, North Brunswick traveled to Socastee (S.C.) trying to reverse its fortune early in the season.

The Braves raced out to a 20-0 first-half lead over the Scorpions, but North Brunswick under first-year head coach Bryan Davis rallied to pull within one possession twice in the second half.

Ultimately, Socastee returned a fumble for a touchdown to seal North Brunswick’s fate in the fourth quarter in a 39-20 Braves’ victory.
