    Judge Scott L. Ussery presided over the following cases with prosecutor Sarah B. McPherson and courtroom clerk Courtney Graham-Evans:

  • Brunswick County Teen Court training sessions

    Brunswick County Teen Court will conduct student volunteer training sessions on Tuesday, Sept. 11, and Thursday, Sept. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brunswick County Courthouse. Students in grades 9-12 can volunteer and will be trained to serve as attorneys, jurors, bailiffs and clerks in Teen Court cases involving first-time juvenile offenders.

  • County receives $2M Treatment Court grant

    Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Ola M. Lewis, on behalf of the Brunswick County Treatment Court in Bolivia, announced its largest grant received to date.

    On Aug. 8, the federal Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (SAMHSA), awarded the Brunswick Treatment Court $2 million over a five-year period to expand treatment services.
