• BCC announces continuing education classes

    The Continuing Education and Workforce Development Department at Brunswick Community College offers short-term programs and classes for self-improvement, cultural enrichment, and academic achievement geared toward adults seeking intellectual stimulation, community involvement and social interaction, according to Karen Ladley, public information officer at the college.

    Many courses are free to seniors (65 and older).

    Belville Elementary School will be able to accommodate more students than ever next year.

    The Brunswick County Board of Education voted Tuesday night to fund an eight classroom addition “based on the crowded conditions as well as future projected growth,” Steve Miley, executive director of operations, stated in a memorandum to the board.
